Rainy Sunday

Such a cold and rainy Sunday today. I stayed in my PJ's all day and just puttered around the house. But looked what I picked from my yard yesterday ! This is March in MAINE......we have never had daffodils blooming in March before that I can remember.

Even the birds are hiding today in the rain. The only thing trying to get to the feeders is this cute little Chipmunk who comes daily and fills his cheeks with sunflowers seeds, and this gray squirrel who was waiting patiently on the railing for the Chipmunk to be done so he could get some!

Look at the cute plant stand I found at Wal Mart for my deck. It's still too early to put plants out there yet, but it will look so cute this summer with a pot of petunia's in it.

This is book I am currently reading. It is the first in a series following the same family. It begins before the Revolution in the US and is SOOOO good. I am about 1/2 way finished and cannot wait to get the next one.

Look what I found! The chart for Ida Mae Crowe which is an out of print chart from The Goode Huswife. I just thinks she is so cute, and decided I have a liking of crow things all of a sudden. A nice lady named Shirley from the 123 Stitch board emailed me that she had it and was finished with it and will send it to me; after I posted to the board's weekly wish-list. I will send her a nice goodie in return.

I am off to read or do some stitching now and have a nice cup of coffee.

Nikki Love the daffodils. I have a bunch sitting on my dinning room table. Put the book on my want to read list.

What a lovely blog you have. I just found you and am in love with those gorgeous old pictures you have on your side bar. I used to collect old cards with some of these scenes and they are just so inspiring to stitch aren't they. Lovely! Lovely! Lovely!
