Happy New Year

I have had a very exciting New Years Eve and morning. I had my 2 year old grandson Benjamin overnight. New Years Eve is my son Jon and his wife Amanda's anniversary and so they had a nice night out and alone and I had the pleasure of having Benjamin with me. I bought him the cutest toy on QVC just for the evening, and I think he liked it, what do you think?

And look what I got in the mail yesterday! Nancy at Victorian Motto Sampler Shop had a giveaway every day of December and I won the December 21 drawing. This is what I won.

The charms are so cute, a sewing machine, and the most darling scissors. Thank you again Nancy for such a generous giveaway.

I have been doing some more stitching on my Dorothy Walpole sampler from the Scarlet Letter. Again, she is being done on 36 count linen called Flax, with DMC. I love the colors and the specialty stitches are fun to learn.

It's back to work tomorrow for me. It has turned bitterly cold here in Maine, and will be that way for the next few days. Burrrrrrrrr.
